New Year but Same You!
It is always very interesting when people say "new year, new me". This is usually because they have made new resolutions and plans on things they wish to acomplish in the New Year. But making new resolutions does not make you new. It is the same you but with with new plans.
This is also the reason why most New Year resolutions do not make it past the 3 months mark. Change does not come from the outside but from the inside. The Bible even talks about putting off your old self which comes from deceitful desires that is corrupt and renewing your mind in Christ. "To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness" (Epesians 4:22-24).
If you truly want to change in 2024, don't just have timelines, targets, dates but start working on your inside by speaking LIFE into your life. You cannot see or accomplish what you want unless you truly believe it in your heart. Moses said to the children of Isreal, "I lay before you today life and death, and I ask that you chose life so that your children may live" (Exodus 30:19).
Today you are receiving the same word. You have before you this year, life and death and guess where life and death lies? In the power of your tongue! What you declare is what you will see. If you want broken dreams, abandoned projects, dead ideas to come back alive,then speak life into it. Can these dry bones live again? Yes, it can, but you must breathe life into it.
