CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE!
We are so blessed to see another month and to see God's mercies every day. Do you know why his mercies are new every day? Why he loves us so much? I mean, sometimes, when I think of his love, my mind cannot fathom it. He is such a good God! Everything he does is very intentional.
The Bible says in Psalms 8; "Who is man that thou art mindful of him, nor the son of man that thou visited him?" I mean who are we? I can go on but I think I figured it out. It is because he created us in his own image!
Our Identity is rooted in him, he made us just like him. Genesis 1:27 says "So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them".
People go through life with diffferent identities or image placed on them. The image created for them by life, friends, sickness, and sin. Having the understanding that we are representatives of God and heirs to his kingdom, we believe that we are created in his image.
There is something in all of us that looks like God and this is why the enemy Lucifer hates us so much. God replaced him with us and he sent us his son Jesus to bind us even stronger to him. Making a bold statement to the enemy, who tried to destroy our identity and relationship with God through Eve and the apple. That is why 2nd Corinthians 5:17 states, "therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old has passed away, behold, the new has come".
There are people that have lost their God given image due to mistakes they have made in the past. Through Jesus christ, an opportunity for image redemption was given to all of us. An image or identity of adultery, lying, pride, is redeemed when you accept him fully into your life. Let the original image of God and his glory manifest in you today.
